The Tribal Research Institute, Manipur also maintains a library. The library is intended for supporting scholarly research and therefore maintains permanent collections and attempts to provide access to necessary materials. Over and above books published in tribal dialects, this library has procured more than 2530 titles including books on the tribal people of India in general and the North East in particular and is being used by scholars and public.

At present construction of library bookshelves is underway and one set of computer has been purchased under library renovation programme. Efforts are on for complete computerization by way of adopting and adapting the information technology. Initially infrastructure for the computerization and automation of the library be developed with financial assistance of both the Central & State Govt.
